Lean Leadership for Construction

Lean Leadership for Construction

The Lean transformation of any business begins with the senior management team establishing awareness within the organisation and providing direction and leadership. The success of the transformation ultimately will depend on the ongoing vision and support of the business leaders, providing management with an overview of the fundamental concepts of Lean and a clear understanding of how to approach a Lean transformation in Construction. It strives to give a deep understanding of the basic principles which underpin Lean (Value, Value Streams, Flow, Pull and Perfection). It also focuses on ensuring awareness of the “8 Wastes in Construction” which manifest themselves across all environments. The programme highlights these “wastes” as an area of critical opportunity for Lean activities.

By the end of the course, participants should have an understanding of the Lean Concepts, Wastes and tools and should be able to apply these learnings to identify opportunities for improvement in their business.
