Heineken Ireland is the Irish operation of the Dutch-owned drinks giant, Heineken. Based in Cork, the brewery’s portfolio includes Heineken, Coors Light, Fosters, Beamish Stout, Murphy’s Stout, and a full range of specialty beers. The challenge was to streamline the company’s administrative processes in order to increase the acceptance rate of their brands throughout Ireland.


Heineken took part in the Management Works Lean Business Programme, an initiative that included:

  • Green Belt Training.
  • 8 x half-day Mentoring Sessions.
  • Meeting with key managers in the company to scope out the proposed. assignment and establish a Project Charter.
  • Preparing project business cases, involving finance.
  • Delivering the assignment with regular coaching on progress.
  • Completing the assignment with a team presentation to the management team.
