How We Help Our Clients

Seery’s Bakery Reducing Emissions by Managing Energy Usage

Carbon Reduction

Client Overview

Seery’s bakery have produced high quality cakes and award winning Christmas puddings for over 30 years. A family run business from humble beginnings they have grown significantly since 1989. Today Seery’s operate from a custom built facility in the Carlow.

Challenges

Seery’s had high energy usage and costs but had limited insight into where the energy was being consumed. Without this data they couldn’t identify where energy & carbon emissions could be reduced. Beyond the high costs of energy usage there was pressure from customers to act on their climate commitments.

Solution:

Our Sustainability consultant completed an energy audit and calculated a carbon emissions baseline, focusing on Scope 1 and Scope 2. Inefficiencies and opportunities were identified through an energy audit of the production facility which would reduce the cabon emissions by 35% by 2030

Building a Clear Sustainability Strategy

Sustainability Strategy

Client Overview

A building material supplier recognised the growing importance of sustainability to its customers, employees, and investors. However, they didn’t know where to start. The leadership team wanted help to turn good intentions into real results but they needed a clear plan.

Challenges

There was no clear direction or plan for sustainability. They were unsure what the regulations (like CSRD) meant for them. They had little experience in tracking or reporting ESG progress. They didn’t have a dedicated team to coordinate sustainability efforts across teams.

Solution:

We worked closely with the client to build a simple, practical sustainability strategy. Together, we set clear goals, mapped out next steps, and made sure the plan matched the company’s values and future direction. The work included:

  • Team workshops to agree on top priorities and current challenges
  • A materiality review to focus on the most important ESG issues
  • A clear action plan with steps, timelines, and ways to track progress
  • Support to understand and prepare for EU sustainability reporting (CSRD)

Results

  • A focused sustainability strategy that made sense for their business
  • Better teamwork and shared goals around sustainability
  • A clear understanding of reporting rules and how to meet them
  • More trust from customers and employees thanks to real action

Making ESG Reporting Clear and Achievable

Sustainability Reporting

Client Overview

A mid-sized manufacturing company wanted to improve how it reported on sustainability. With new EU rules like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) on the horizon, they needed help understanding what was required—and how to get started. The team felt overwhelmed by the volume of data and fast-changing regulations.

Challenges

The company had limited experience with ESG reporting and felt uncertain about how to begin. The new CSRD requirements created confusion and added pressure, as the team wasn’t sure what information they needed or how to collect it. Gathering reliable data from different departments was difficult. There was growing concern among leaders about staying compliant with CSRD.

Solution:

We supported the company through every step of the ESG reporting process. Our goal was to make the work clear and manageable. We made sure the report aligned with both legal requirements and the company’s values. This included:

  • Helping them understand CSRD requirements and timelines
  • Identifying key ESG topics relevant to their business and stakeholders
  • Creating simple systems to gather the right data from across the organisation
  • Drafting a clear, accurate ESG report aligned to CSRD and internal goals

Results

  • A compliant, well-structured ESG report that reflected their true impact
  • Clear processes in place for ongoing data collection and future reporting
  • Increased confidence among leaders in meeting sustainability obligations
  • A stronger foundation to communicate progress with customers, investors, and staff
