Jim Collins - Senior Lean Consultant
Jim has been practicing Lean for over 20 years, leveraging is expertise in consulting, training, coaching and mentoring to deliver powerful results for LBS’s clients. With a strong academic and industry background, Jim is adept at designing programmes to suit clients’ individual needs and delivering those programmes in collaboration with the client teams involved.
Jim has a proven record of success in projects of all sizes having worked with some of Ireland largest corporations and government bodies; IDA, RSA, VHI, Engineers Ireland, Hewlett Packard, Bausch & Lomb, Creganna, Hollister, CITCO, Roche Pharma are all in Jim’s back-catalogue of hits.
Areas of Expertise
- Facilitated, led and participated in over 40 Kaizen events in Ireland, England, the USA and Japan.
- Actively involved in a wide range of improvement initiatives including JIT, TQM, 6 Sigma and Lean in a career spanning 25 years.
- Founding Chairperson of the (Irish) South East Lean Forum and served on a Lean Community of Practice (COP) within the Irish Centre for Business Excellence.
- Lean subject matter expert in the collaborative development of a suite of Lean E-learning tools involving the University of Limerick and several multi-national companies.
